Cindy Swearingen is currently serving as the Assistant Executive Director of School Safety and Security for the State Department of Education. The Office of School Safety and Security’s mission is to provide Oklahoma public schools resources and technical assistance in the development of high-quality emergency operation plans which helps foster a culture of preparedness. Previously, she held the position of School Superintendent for 10 years. Cindy has over thirty-three years in education and has served as a school safety consultant for the last fifteen years.
