Dr. Quentin Fretwell

Dr. Quentin Fretwell is the retired Director of the Department of Student Relations for the DeKalb County School District.  Currently, he facilitates special projects with DeKalb Schools.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Bullying Prevention Association and a facilitator for Metro RESA.  Quentin’s career includes 25+ years working in student behavior, discipline, school safety, emergency preparedness and attendance.  He has co-authored articles on student bullying, alternative education, and pandemic planning, and has presented at several local, state, and regional conferences.  In addition, he provides consulting services and support to anyone needing his help.  Quentin received his Bachelors, Masters, Educational Specialist and Ph.D. degrees from Georgia State University.  His dissertation work was on student bullying and the perceptions, thoughts, and beliefs of school administrators.  In 2015, Quentin was selected for the School-Based Leader Hero Award associated with the Auburn University Anti-Bullying Summit.  In addition, he is the crafter and facilitator of the DeKalb County School District’s “Bullying Stops Here!” Awareness Campaign.
